Table 1. Map number, location name, latitude, longitude, altitude, and sample size for each collection site. Map # refers to each site as depicted in figures 4 and 5. Collection location names refer to a specific region for location on a large-scale map. Chromosome number for males as reported by Kambhampati et al. (1996), or inferred from phylogenetic analysis of mtDNA sequence (indicated by asterisk).  Latitude and longitude were measured, in degrees, to the nearest 0.01 minute, and altitude to the nearest foot above sea level as accurately as allowed by the U.S. Government (± 25 meters) using a Magellan 2000 GPS receiver. Sample size refers to the number of individuals from a collection site for which a particular fragment was successfully sequenced. Comments are provided to give fine scale direction to a particular collection location in conjunction with GPS data.
